The Fastest Way To Build Self-Confidence
Sharon Melnick, a well-known life coach and a clinical psychologist, has been working with Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs and professionals to achieve the quality of life that they want.
In this video, she talks about the two ways in which people gain confidence. Most people use the indirect way (getting validation from other people which reinforces our confidence in our abilities). However, it is too time-consuming and not as effective as the direct way. The direct way consists of creating a core vision for yourself and acting to make it happen.
Key Points from this Inspirational Video:
- 2 ways to be confident: indirect and direct

- Direct behavior: build a core vision for yourself and your team and act on it

- What benefits will it bring to your life?
- What strengths and talents do you have to make it happen?

That's true that the best way to build confidence is to do what you love to do, what excites you, what you have passion for. I also agree that what you do have to be beneficial for you or for the people around you. I liked the video.

Another reason for not trying to gain your self-confidence from the outside world or from other people is that you cannot ensure it will always be available to you. Say you usually feel good when you are given compliments about your body or hair or manner of dress. Those compliments can be few and far between. The important thing is to build an inner strength so that it matters not what others say to you or about you.
