I am fully capable of managing any challenge that comes my way.

I am a thoughtful and capable person. I can maneuver past any obstacle that is placed in my way. Barriers may attempt to block my path, but I will remain resolute. I am motivated to achieve my goals, and I will not be hindered.

Obstacles do not intimidate me because I am strong. I rise to challenges, I stand boldly before them, and I resolve them in a way that makes me feel proud. I am fully capable of correcting problems, fixing misunderstandings, and taking control of my life.

I relish challenges because they motivate me to become a better and stronger person. Challenges are blessings that encourage me to grow. I know I can rely on my intelligence to help me manage any challenge that comes my way.

When I face a barrier, I bravely find a way to pass it. When I encounter impediments to my success, I diminish them until they are of no consequence. When troubles threaten to steer me off course, I resolve them and move forward with renewed intention.

I am aware that everyone experiences obstacles. This knowledge helps me to think rationally. I do not believe that challenges are personal attacks on my hopes and dreams.

Challenges are necessary experiences that will make my success even richer. I will be able to look back at how far I have come and feel a deep gratitude for having overcome the various trials.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. What challenges have I faced recently and how have these obstacles helped me become a stronger person?

  3. How can I find a way past the challenges I currently face in my life?

In the journey of life, it’s okay for me to stop and ask for directions.

If I ever reach an unexpected place and I don’t know where to go, it's okay to stop and ask for help. It’s good to try and figure things out by myself, but sometimes I need guidance from others. Getting directions from others takes me through avenues I may not have taken on my own.

One thing I know is that I do not know everything. It would be foolish to rely on my own understanding and strength.

I seek the counsel of older, wiser people and learn from their testimonies. My sisters, parents, pastors, and friends are all sources of knowledge. These trusted resources will guide me to my destination.

I learn from their examples and from their mistakes. Their stories inspire me and give me strength. Learning from the experiences of others is a skill that will save me a lot of heart ache. Life is too short to make the same mistakes someone else has already made.

As I go through life, I must remember that wrong turns are bound to happen. What I do after I take that turn is what counts. That is why I stop and ask for directions. I do not wander aimlessly and confused. I ask for guidance for all major crossroads in my life, and continue on my way.

I remind myself that it’s okay to ask for help. After all, others have so much knowledge to offer. I am courageous enough to admit when I am lost. It would be foolish to allow my pride to hold me back. My pride cannot be stronger than my will to find a way to great success.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. Do I try to do everything on my own or do I listen to the input of others?
  2. What is more important to me: my pride or my desire to succeed?
  3. What are some areas in my life where I could use the wisdom of another person?
