When I feel insecure, I remain focused on things that I am passionate about.

There are times when I feel insecure. However, it is at these times that I remain focused on things that I am passionate about.

I commit my energy to a purpose much bigger than myself. My passion becomes the focal point and it inspires me. It builds my confidence in knowing that I can be a valuable contribution.

My self-worth depends on how I channel my time, thoughts, and energy. My attitude flourishes when I am engaged in something meaningful that I enjoy.

I am convinced that everyone should have a passion because it is the one thing that can heighten the self-esteem. It makes me feel needed, appreciated and important. My life is full of great purpose!

There is no feeling like being noticed for doing something I really love. It ignites the passion within me. I love the emotions that it brings to my heart.

The insecurity goes away in a flash and I am in a different zone; thinking not of myself, but for the higher good of all. It puts so many insignificant things in perspective and teaches me one of life’s lessons of taking the eye off myself and putting it on something meaningful.

I strive to find the higher ground and I am successful as long as I keep my passion alive. I have the courage to change the spotlight from myself and that is when I get my relief.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. How can I increase my confidence?
  2. How else can I channel my energy?
  3. What do I do to increase my self esteem?

I combine my different passions into a three-ring circus, and I get to play the ringmaster.

I am a ringmaster directing my own three-ring circus. My circus is how I exhibit my passions to the world.

I do not feel the need to limit my mind. I know that if I can accomplish one goal, I can accomplish many more. So I take steps toward developing each of my passions. In each ring of my circus I place one of my goals, then I allow it to explode into life. This frees me to experience the fullness of joy.

Each passion I have is an integral element of who I am. I develop each piece of my passion with equal time and effort because I am the master of the circus.

My three-ring circus may seem like chaos to others, but I have control. I instruct the juggler to keep many balls in the air, I inspire the trapeze artists to leap gracefully from their swings, and I embolden the animal trainer to tame the lions.

I am not intimidated by an audience. I proudly present my passions to the world. I am the confident ringmaster who shares my joys with others. I bow gracefully when they applaud my accomplishments or whistle with delight.

I also seek new ways to dazzle my spectators with my talents because I want the world to know all of the works of my imagination.

The world is filled with jubilation, and I will do my part to add happiness into my life and the lives of others. My three-ring circus is a testament to my desire to develop my passions and to bring happiness into the world.

I share my gifts freely. As the ringmaster, I open the curtain, and I invite others to experience the joy that is reaped from my passions.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. Am I the ringmaster directing my life’s passions, or have I allowed myself and my passions to be directed by others?
  2. Do I sometimes feel the need to limit my passions because I don’t feel like I have the time or energy to develop each of them?
  3. Are there ways I can share my passions with the world?

Igniting my passion is another way of showing how much I love myself.

I listen to my heart and pay attention to my passions because I love myself. By listening to my heart and pursuing my own interests, I am expressing a healthy appreciation for the unique individual that I was created to be.

I do not believe that I was put on Earth to take up "space." I believe that my interests and passions were instilled in me by my Creator and that He meant for me to pursue them. I believe that I was created for a purpose and that following my passions will lead me to discover the shape of that purpose.

I see my interests as a gift from above. What I do with those interests is my gift to myself and to those around me.

I honor my passions by acknowledging that they are worthy of my time and energy. I honor my Creator by putting what He has given me to full use. I honor His unique creation by tuning in when my heart speaks and by finding ways to facilitate my own success.

In my relationships, I am tuned in to their interests. If they want to share their hopes or dreams with me, I listen. If they feel discouraged, I encourage them. I try to facilitate their success in whatever ways I can. And so, I will do no less for myself. Because I whole-heartedly love myself.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. Am I treating my interests with the same respect that I would allow others?
  2. What interests have I been ignoring?
  3. What is one thing I can do today to show respect to myself and the One who create me?
