I accept my faults.

by ACQYR on April 4th, 2008
I accept my faults.

I accept my faults because I am responsible. My mind and spirit are enriched by the acceptance of who I am. And, who I am includes my gifts as well as my faults.

My faults do not control me, nor do they define me. They are my stepping-stones to an improved me, and they remind me of the level of my potential. Without my faults, I would not have any measure of how far I have come. They are the reasons for my renewed passion and ultimate success.

I do not consider my faults as hindrances or setbacks. My faults allow me to discover my true talents by prodding me to keep moving and striving for the best. They are the little agitators that tickle my brain to seek out change.

The greatest part about my faults is that they keep me grounded. If I am deemed as “perfect,” then how can I ever develop further? Without them, what kinds of things would I have to look forward to? How will I ever know what I could really accomplish?

What a relief it is to know that my faults are temporary. With some time and a little bit of work, I can alter them, fix them, or delete them entirely. How I choose to treat them is entirely within my control. I remain in charge of my faults, and I consistently utilize them to challenge me to do more, be more, and want more.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. What are my faults?
  2. How do I manage my faults and make them work in my favor?
  3. Are my faults really a bad thing?
