This is perhaps one of the most well known Christian self-help books on the market today. Author Rick Warren has written this book to share with readers that he believes there are no accidents or coincidences, instead that God planned everything and he planned everyone. The result is that every human has a specific purpose, a purpose that is in accordance with God’s plan. This is not necessarily a self-help book that will help you make some sort of professional or personal transformation, but it will help you have a devotion to Christianity that you perhaps did not have before.
The book is to be used over the course of 40 days. The idea is to read one chapter each day and to really take in what is being said. The book does not only contain information written by Rick Warren, everything he has written is supported by scriptures and dogma. The book is a great read, but generally isn’t for those who are seeking help that lies outside of their faith or religion, instead it is about bringing the reader closer to their God and bring them new joy in their worship.
This book is recommended for people who are:
- Seeking to understand why they are here
- Christian in faith
- Want to understand their place in God’s master plan
- Trying to become closer to their God
- Want a new excitement about their worshipping
The top 3 reasons you may enjoy this book:
- It’s well written
- Answers the question of why we are here
- Christian based scripture
Sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to Rachel Johnson for this in-depth book review!
