In this book the reader will find a selection of stories that show what it is to walk with God.  The stories depict what walking with God is like over the course of a year.  The book is written from a very personal perspective, in which the author invites every reader to experience what it is to talk to God and really hear from him.

Author John Eldredge writes in the book about the fact that many people have choices to make every day and many people choose to go it alone instead of talking to God.  When one makes it a practice to talk to God about every decision, soon they will begin to hear his voice.  The author encourages the reader to talk to God when making decisions, that through this process there will be a transformation and a breakthrough for the person on a very personal level.  In fact, decisions are often made with much more clarity when you involve God.  The book is a great message to all believers, that if they share their struggles it will lessen the burden and make decisions easier.
