The Importance of Iodine in Your Diet

Today most people are eating foods with less salt than ever before in modern history.  This is good from many respects but something that a lot of us are missing as a result is sufficient iodine intake.  Iodine is often found in salt and is important to our health.

Without iodine our thyroid cannot function properly and this will result in negative impacts to our energy levels as well as our metabolism.  It’s important to get plenty of iodine in your daily diet.  In this video Dr. Erika discusses what iodine does and why it is so important.  She then goes onto explain where you can get iodine so that your thyroid can function at optimum levels.
