Are you doing Good Work? Or Great Work?
The work you do (and indeed the life you lead) can be divided into three simple categories: Bad Work, Good Work and Great Work. You already know what the Bad Work is: the stuff that is a complete waste of your time. Good Work is the stuff that keeps us busy, provides a pay cheque, uses our skills. It’s engaging, but quickly forgettable. Great Work is the stuff that has us stand at the crossroads of excitement and trepidation, the work that speaks powerfully to what’s the right thing to do. Most work in professional organizations today is Good Work. As a keynote speaker, Michael helps asks the question – and envision the impact – of what would be possible if everyone doubled the amount of Great Work they were doing?

Michael Bungay Stanier & logistics for getting going:
Michael Bungay Stanier likes to keep things as simple as possible, and he has fairly minimal needs for his workshops and presentations. Here are most of them. In our discussions in planning this workshop, we’ll uncover any others that might be there.
Audio
- Wireless lavaliere. And no podium please – I won’t be trying to hide behind anything!
Presentation
- Generally, I bring my presentation with me loaded on my laptop (which is PC, not Mac). Please provide a LCD projector
Handouts
- My workshops and keynotes are content driven and generally interactive. I may well ask you to make copies of handouts for your attendees. If I do, I’ll send you the electronic file ahead of time.
Travel
- Michael travels from Toronto, Canada. He flies coach class in North America and business class for any overseas trips.

No cookie-cutter stuff
Michael makes sure that he connects with your audience in their language and answer their needs.
Every engagement includes pre-session phone call(s) with the event planners to ensure that he understands your needs.
As he builds his presentation, he ensures that the event planners have an opportunity to review the slides he will be presenting and the handouts he’ll be sharing.
He also asks for the opportunity to speak to some audience participants before the event, to get some insights “from the floor.”
