It’s Not What You’ve Got by Wayne Dyer, Kristina Tracy, Stacy Heller Budnick
Book Review
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and his co-author have teamed up for yet another awesome book for children. This book is a great guide for parents, teachers, and even counselors to use with children when they are trying to teach them about money and its place in their life. Children today often have a distorted view of money and abundance and they often equate who they are with what they have. This book teaches children that you are not what you have, as the title would indicate.
The book doesn’t just tout that you are not how much you have, but also that abundance comes in many different forms and that money is not the most important or only way to live in abundance. The book is somewhat of a guide, teaching children about how to spend and save money but also how you can have very little money and live a very abundant life. This is a great message that should be shared with children while they are growing to help form healthy attitudes about money that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
This book is recommended for people who are:
- Raising children
- Teaching children
- Counseling children
- Noticing their children define themselves by what they have
- Eager to teach their children how to spend and save
The top 3 reasons you may enjoy this book:
- Written for a broad age range
- Great message
- Common sense paired with spirituality throughout
Sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to Rachel Johnson for this in-depth book review!
