Level of Success (Part 1 of 2)
How do you know where you’re going if you don’t have any direction or guidance? With no plan of action, how do you know whether you’ve reached or surpassed your goal?
Without a plan, or at least a vague idea of where you want to be, you won’t make it past the first footprint you set in the sand.
It’s important to set a personal Level of Success. Your level of success is a checkpoint that tells you where you are in relation to where you want to be. Consider it a little checklist that tells you what to look for, where you need to improve, and how you’re progressing.
How do you define your Level of Success?
Find what truly makes you happy! Find something that you are passionate about – something that doesn’t seem like a drag each time it comes across your mind. To do so, you’ll need to look at all aspects of your life past, present, and future. What did you miss out on as a child? As a teenager? As a young adult? Determine what you’ve always wanted, then learn from the past to form your future.
As a part of your success checkpoint, work out a list of items that you wish to accomplish by a certain date then track your progress along the way. Perhaps it’s learning a new word every day, or losing a pound a week, or calling up 10 additional potential business partners every week.
At the half-way point, are you half way there? What immediate steps can you take to reach your level of success? If you encountered a stumbling block, how can you resolve this issue?
